Stranco offers a range of high-performance polyimide labels / kapton labels that are engineered to survive in the harsh environments specific to printed circuit board manufacturing and related components. Polyimide thermal transfer labels are designed to withstand high temperatures and the associated harsh chemicals, cleaners and solvents of the manufacturing process. 1 mil Gloss White Polyimide Label (S-454)
Stranco S-454 is a 1 mil gloss white polyimide thermal transfer film designed specifically for high-temperature lead-free solder applications. S-454 is appropriate for surface mount board processes, on either the top or bottom side of the board. It can also be used on the top side of the board in mixed processes, and is recommended for the bottom side which is directly exposed to the wave solder environment. 1 mil material is NOT recommended for auto print and apply applications.
Temperature Rating: -40 – 1000°F

2 mil Gloss White Polyimide Label (S-415)
Stranco S-415 is a 2 mil gloss white polyimide thermal transfer film designed specifically for high-temperature lead-free solder applications. S-415 is appropriate for surface mount board processes, on either the top or bottom side of the board. It can also be used on the top side of the board in mixed processes, and is recommended for the bottom side which is directly exposed to the wave solder environment.

2 mil Gloss Light Green Polyimide Label (S-485)
Stranco S-485 is a 2 mil gloss light green polyimide thermal transfer film designed for barcode or alphanumeric identification of printed circuit boards and related components. S-485 is appropriate for surface mount board processes, on either the top or bottom side of the board. It can also be used on the top side of the board in mixed processes, and is recommended for the bottom side which is directly exposed to the wave solder environment. The light green color is useful for color coding process lines or components.

1 mil Gloss White Static Dissipative Polyimide Label (S-466)
Stranco S-466 is a 2 mil gloss white polyimide thermal transfer film designed specifically for static free work environments in high-temperature lead-free solder applications. When an S-466 label is peeled from its release liner, less than 25 volts per square inch of electrostatic charge is generated. S-466 is appropriate for surface mount board processes, on either the top or bottom side of the board. It can also be used on the top side of the board in mixed processes, and is recommended for the bottom side which is directly exposed to the wave solder environment. 1 mil material is NOT recommended for auto print and apply applications.

2+ mil Matte Tan (“Buff”) Polyimide Label (S-446)
Stranco S-446 is a 2+ mil matte tan (“buff”) polyimide thermal transfer film designed specifically for barcode or alphanumeric identification of printed circuit boards and related components, and when used with the appropriate ribbon, will withstand exposure to a wide range of active solvents, including ether-polyol solvents. S-446 is appropriate for surface mount board processes, on either the top or bottom side of the board. It can also be used on the top side of the board in mixed processes, and is recommended for the bottom side which is directly exposed to the wave solder environment.
