Detectable Tape

Detectable Tape is used to help locate underground pipes and cables, as well as warn excavation crews of the presence of underground utility lines.  Buried properly above utility lines, underground Detectable Tape will alert excavation crews of the presence of utility lines below before accidental “dig-in” damage occurs.   Detectable Tape provides a simple and inexpensive method to both locate and protect valuable underground utility lines.

Stranco’s Detectable Warning Tape is constructed with a solid aluminum foil core to support locating from above ground.   A minimum of 5 mils thick, Stranco’s Detectable Tape is designed for high visibility and long term burial underground.  Printed diagonal warning stripes conform to APWA color recommendations and bold, black legends identify what type of utility line is buried below.
