Safety
Signs
Stranco produces thousands of
safety signs with a wide range of legends and material
constructions to ensure that you get the right sign for
your need.

The current American standard for
environmental and facility safety signs is ANSI
Z535.2-2002. This standard establishes the use of
revised safety sign formats and headers as compared to
prior safety sign standards (often referred to as OSHA
safety signs). The OSHA requirement for safety signs is
identified in 29 CFR Part 1910.145 (Code of Federal
Regulations). The specifications for safety signs in 29
CFR 1919, when written, were based on ANSI Z53 and Z35
pertaining to safety signs and colors. Since then,
American Standard ANSI Z535 was developed and superseded
both Z53 and Z35. Accordingly, the OSHA standard for
safety signs is now based on ANSI Z535.
